About Emma

Hello, I’m Emma.

I’m a Teaching Assistant at Southborough Primary School and an Ofsted-registered childminder (URN EY563696), running Meadow Kids from our family home on Meadow Road. The children at my club already know me from the school day, which makes the move from classroom to club an easy one.

Meadow Kids is a small, settled afternoon: a snack on the table, a garden to play in, plenty of craft, and the company of two friendly guinea pigs.

A typical afternoon

How wraparound care works at Meadow Kids.

I collect children directly from Southborough Primary School at the end of the school day. From there it’s a short walk back to ours on Meadow Road. We share a snack, then it’s a mix of free play, craft, garden time, and a quiet space for homework if it’s needed — until parents arrive by 6pm.

  • Arts & crafts

    Beadwork, painting, paper-plate dreamcatchers, seasonal art.

  • Garden play

    Free play in our enclosed garden when the weather agrees.

  • Construction & STEM

    Magnetic sticks, snap circuits, Lego — building things together.

  • Baking & celebrations

    Pizza-making, baking afternoons, and the occasional birthday cake.

  • Quiet corner

    Reading, drawing, or a quiet space for homework if it's needed.

  • Looking after the guinea pigs

    Feeding, gentle handling, and learning to care for animals.
